Rihanna for River Island A/W'13

Rihanna launched her latest collection with River Island today. Rihanna said "I literally designed everything I wanted to wear, exactly how I wanted to wear it." This collection has Rihanna's signature style stamped all over it, with her popular slogans "G4L" and "RiRi" featuring on a lot of the pieces, the collection also offers belly-baring tops, thigh-high splits, camouflage and oversized baseball gear.

The Rihanna for River Island collection will be released in two lots - autumn and winter - with the first autumn selection  having a sportier feel to it which will be available in stores on September 12th, and the winter's party-ready outfits will be out in stores in November ready for you all to get your christmas and new year party dresses.

The campaign released today was shot with a 'New York street vibe' in a similar style to the catwalk collection Rihanna showed at London Fashion Week earlier in the year. To see more of the collection and the campaign check out the behind the scenes video on the River Island website.

This season it seems that the collection has some more wearable pieces suiting a range of styles, but as always in true Rihanna style a lot of flesh will be on show so its time to head to the gym ladies so you can be Rihanna ready come September.

Glee season 5.. Should the show go on?

When I first heard the news that Cory Monteith from Glee had died my heart sank I was so upset because it was such a shock, I couldn't believe it was true and my heart hurt for Lea Michelle. To loose a boyfriend in any way is awful but in the spotlight with so many people watching has got to be so hard.

I thought that Glee would end, that they would cancel the show, because how can it go on when the lead character dies and of drugs how can they cut him out? When I heard that both Ryan Murphy and Lea wanted to continue with the show and have a funeral episode for Finn I was shocked for two reasons: 1. How can Lea go back to work so soon after his death and act out his death for a show and 2. Glee is all singing all dancing but how can they sing and dance about his death and sing about drugs? It doesn't seem right to me, and I know when I come to watching the episode (28th sept) it will be so upsetting because i will know and see how hurt and upset Lea still is, and its weird that she will be acting it all out after only weeks ago going through it for real.

Lea is being really strong tweeting how excited she is to start filming and saying how the first song for the episode is the perfect and most fitting song for the story.
First day of glee today..And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I've missed her so much❤
If i was her I would not be going back to work so soon especially where she will have so many memories of her and Cory as will the whole cast, I can't see how they will have fun together at work without Cory there. But then again maybe it is best for them to all be together sharing memories and trying to come through this awful time together.

What do you think? Do you think Glee should continue? Should Lea be back at work already or just at home with her friends and family?

Oprah's Big Interview with Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan has recently filmed her anticipated post-rehab interview with the Queen of interviews Oprah Winfrey. Lindsay was reportedly paid around $1million to do the tell all interview about her drug addiction and lifestyle.

Personally I don't think Lindsay should be getting as much attention as she is doing and should not be getting paid $1million for the interview, she has gone to rehab before and it hasn't improved things for her so she could be using this money for the worse. Also, what does it tell us 'normal people', that if you do drugs and mess up your life you will get a lot of attention and maybe even more fame and fortune?

In the usual Oprah style she is asking Lindsay hard hitting questions like "Are you an addict?" and "Whats does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for a child star gone wrong?" I mean it will be interesting to see how Lindsay response to the questions and to see if she can improve her life and get better. I hope she does because it is really sad to see these young stars loose their life to drugs. I mean look at Cory Monteith from Glee I was distort over his death and nobody wants to see the same happen to Lindsay.

The interview hits the screens in the US on August 18th at 9/8. Will you be watching?

Cheryl Cole No Make-Up L’Oréal Campaign

The latest L'Oreal campaign shows Cheryl Cole make up free to promote the Skin Perfection Skincare range. We are use to seeing Cheryl looking flawless with her perfect make-up, yet she has ditched her usual foundation, completely stripping back only wearing a bit of face cream and a few layers of mascara for the new ad campaign. Now, when brands say that the model or celebrity is make up free they usually photoshop the life out of the person, but looking at the images its clear to see the lack of make-up Cheryl is wearing, although, most of the pictures are taken from a distance so it doesn't really show off her natural beauty.

Vogue interviewed Cheryl for the campaign and Cheryl said:

"I felt so vulnerable! The guy that shot the ad made me feel comfortable but, literally, all I had on was the Blur Cream [Magic Touch Instant Blur] and some mascara. So when they showed me the video I was watching it through my hands! I'm really happy with it though. It's actually quite liberating to feel like: 'you know what, like it or not, this is what the cream does to your face and this is how I look'. But going in there, I felt far more vulnerable than I have on any other L'Oréal ad. I was walking around the set like: 'hi, I'm the one in the advert."

Cheryl worked closely on the shoot with the photographer trying out many different poses to ensure she looked the best she could. But to be honest she always looks good so I'm sure that wasn't hard! In the interview Cheryl admitted that she never really worried about skincare and getting wrinkles when she was younger.

"Skincare had never really felt like something that I've wanted to do before. Especially wrinkle creams and that kinds of thing - they never really felt right for me. I wasn't really at the time in my life when I was really feeling that way. But this is a great product for me as it's more about preparing your skin before you reach that stage"

The new L'Oreal Skin Perfection Skincare is for under-35's and is made up of five products to help transform visible skin quality, with formulas enriched with Perline-P and patented LR 2412. Who knows what that means but it could be something new to try out to avoid those dreaded wrinkles. Are you excited for the new collection? What will you be buying?

The New collection is available nationwide from TODAY at www.boots.com. To read more of the interview with Cheryl Cole head to Vogue to find out more!

AW13 is approaching.. Whats next?

So it's coming to that time of year again where the nights are drawing in and the shops are changing seasons, so it's safe to say autumn is on its way. For those that are sad :( about the end of summer never fear the weather is still looking good for the next few weeks and autumn is just another great excuse to buy new key pieces or a whole new wardrobe!

When a new season approaches i think its important to invest in some key pieces that you can update your wardrobe with, this way you don't have to go crazy and buy everything leaving you with little or no money, these key new products can freshen up your wardrobe and of course you'll be on trend!

Tops - Always a core product to have in your closet. I have chosen two key shapes that are going to be big for the AW13 season. Firstly there is the woven vest, which is all about a loose fit, casual detailing and it can work well with tailored separates. Asos and Topshop have some great styles that you can buy in store and online now! The second key shape for AW13 is the boyish shirt which have a slimline look with contrasting detailing giving off an androgynous feel. Again ASOS and Topshop have some great shirts that are in store now.

Dresses - Wearing dresses in autumn can still make it feel like summer, and they are good pieces to just throw on if your in a rush. The two key shapes for dresses in AW13 are:
Narrow shirt dress - This is basically a t-shirt dress, nice, simple and easy for all shapes and sizes to wear day or night. I love these dresses and theres some really great versions on the high street now in River Island and ASOS.
Grunge Maxi - Maxi dresses were a big trend in spring summer and will be in autumn winter too. This seasons maxi though is more covered up (good for the cold weather) and has a grunge vibe with the long-seleeves. Maxi dresses can be found all over the high street but two that i really liked for the new season can be found at New Look and ASOS.

Trousers - This seasons must have trousers are all about the long and lean straight leg look. Great for both work and nights out as many stores are designing them in great patterns that make them very fashion forward. I think this is one trend that will definitely last the whole AW13 season.
Shop this trend at:
ASOS
Boohoo
Zara
Topshop

Coats - I love a good coat, one that will keep you nice and warm in the winter months but then also look fashionable and on trend. I know it's weird to be buying coats now when the weather is nice and warm but the stores have some great coats out at the minute so go get them before they sell out.
The two key trends I have chosen for AW13 are the tulip coat, which is like the classic mac but retailers are adding cool design details like leather and belts. The second trend is the Oversized Cocoon coat which has a vintage feel, and the oversized coat can be found all over the high street right now. You can purchase the below looks at:
Topshop
ASOS
French connection
Miss selfridge
Warehouse

I hope now you all feel up to date with the key trends and shapes for the AW13 season and are excited to buy some fabulous new pieces. Let me know if you buy any i have suggested.

Happy shopping!!
